The Pozo de las Ánimas is formed by two enormous natural sinkholes that hold emerald-colored lagoons surrounded by towering rock walls. Its name comes from old local legends that linked the sound of wind through the cavities to the voices of wandering souls, adding an air of mystery to an already striking landscape. The lookout points let you take in this singular geological phenomenon in complete safety and enjoy one of the most emblematic postcards of Ruta 222. The Río Salado crosses the Valle de los Molles and forms part of some of the most characteristic landscapes in the region. Its cold, crystal-clear mountain waters offer a privileged setting for those who enjoy sport fishing and getting close to nature. During fishing season you can find trucha arcoíris and fontinalis trout, in a setting where silence, the mountains and the sound of water accompany every day. Whether you're an experienced angler or simply want to discover this activity for the first time, the Río Salado offers an authentic mountain experience. Fishing requires the corresponding permit issued by the Dirección de Recursos Naturales Renovables de Mendoza. Some areas have specific fishing regulations and mandatory catch-and-release. The visit is led by certified guides, who accompany you along the route and provide the equipment needed to safely explore this Provincial Natural Monument. Each chamber reveals new shapes, colors and silences, turning the experience into a true adventure beneath the Andes. Due to the nature of the route, the activity requires advance booking and isn't recommended for people with claustrophobia or breathing difficulties. A unique experience for those who want to discover the mountains from a completely different perspective.

Their name honors the Pincheira brothers, famous figures in local history who found refuge in these lands during the 19th century. The route lets you take in imposing volcanic rock walls, discover natural viewpoints and enjoy an accessible walk for the whole family, surrounded by some of the most characteristic landscapes of Malargüe.
